In the first half of 2026, South Korean cosmetics exports reached $7 billion, an increase of 27.3% compared to the same period last year. This marks an all-time high for any first-half performance.

The growth was particularly pronounced among small-to-medium and indie brands. Their share of total cosmetics exports expanded significantly, signaling a structural shift in the export landscape.
